Nina Ullrich
Artist & Creative Director
Nina Ullrich founded Notes of Nox, a London creative house built in chapters. Her practice is multidisciplinary, led by concept and built slowly.
Notes of Nox lives in the space between what we show and what we hide, what we see and what stays hidden from us. It takes a single human condition as its ground: that truth is never shared. Each of us sees from a place no one else stands, and the seeing bends what is seen. What one keeps in silence, another never suspects. What one takes as clear, the mirror fractures. The work does not resolve this. It gives the misalignment a form, and holds it open.
Her formation began in art and design at Norwich University of the Arts, where she specialised in textiles, then a degree in fashion design at Kingston University, with a specialism in knitwear. Roles in knitwear and collection development at Hugo Boss and Rena Lange followed. In 2014 she founded her eponymous label: leather goods, millinery, jewellery and objects, made by hand and to commission. In 2016 she co-founded MAN & Studio, a Shoreditch workspace and showroom for independent jewellers, curating its tenants and exhibitions. Nocturnal Aesthetics came next, first a collective, then a jewellery brand. In 2026 the work became Notes of Nox.
